We went to great lengths to give the all-new Sedona the important safety features you're looking for to help keep you and your family feeling secure.
The all-new Sedona includes even more class-leading safety features¹ and has earned NHTSA's 5-star crash safety rating² plus it is the first minivan to earn the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) top safety pick³ award.
SIX AIRBAGS FOR MORE PEACE OF MIND. Sedona comes standard with six airbags placed throughout the vehicle. They include dual advanced front, dual front seat-mounted side and, for all three seating rows, full-length side curtains, all to help protect you and your family.
ENHANCED PROTECTION. The advanced supplement restraint system (SRS) is an airbag system that monitors the severity of an impact, the seating position of the occupants and seat-belt use, and then controls airbag inflation accordingly.†
ACTIVE SAFETY. Also standard in the Sedona are active front headrests. The headrests move forward and up to help reduce neck injuries to front occupants in the event of a rear-impact collision.
EXTRA CONFIDENCE. To help you navigate safely in reverse, the Luxury Package includes a back-up warning system that chimes if you approach objects within a specified distance while backing up.
TIRE CHECK. A tire-pressure monitoring system alerts you if one or more of your tires is underinflated so corrective action can be taken.
CHILD SAFETY. The LATCH child-seat system – Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children – comes standard in the second and third rows to help hold child seats more securely.
THEFT DETERRENT. Part of the available Luxury Package, the Engine Immobilizer helps deter theft by preventing the engine from starting without a properly programmed ignition key.

² Government star ratings are part of New Car Assessment Program.
³ Among the eight current minivan designs the Institute has rated, the Sedona is the only one that earns good ratings in all three Institute tests.
† For maximum protection, always wear your seat belt.
