The Kia Soul has been in production for about a decade. In that time frame, it has become one of the automaker’s most popular models. The standard powertrain set up will be a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter, inline four-cylinder engine making 130 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque is attached to a six-speed manual transmission. Next is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic gear-changer with a peak output of 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. Top trims use a turbocharged version of the 1.6-liter, engine and employ a seven-speed automatic which produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The 2019 Soul has to contend with both hatchbacks and crossover SUVs. It’s able to straddle these classes by offering a maximum of 49.5 cubic-feet and fuel economy scores in the neighborhood of 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

The entry-level trim of the 2019 Soul starts out with 16-inch alloy wheels to provide a comfortable handling profile. Automatic headlights, rear privacy glass and a rearview camera are all standard equipment.
