2023 Kia Soul Technology Features
Affordably Priced and Well-Equipped Subcompact SUV
The 2023 Kia Soul is a funky subcompact SUV with a whimsical interior with a new front grille design, futuristic headlight shapes, and new wheels. In typical Kia style, the Soul is larger than it seems on the inside and filled with standard tech and safety features.
With up to 62.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, the Soul is a small car that’s full of surprises. The Kia Soul has been a popular choice with Cleveland drivers who appreciate the subcompact size, unique style, and affordable sticker price – the base model has a starting MSRP under $20,000.
Collection of Impressive Technology Features
The 2023 Kia Soul comes in four trims, all with an impressive collection of technology features. They include an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a USB port, and a six-speaker audio system. The Soul LX comes with the Kia DriveWise Driver Assist suite of safety features that include Driver Attention Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Automatic High-Beam Headlights, and Lane Keep Assist.
The Soul S, GT-Line, and EX get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with the same connectivity features as the LX and adds SiriusXM Satellite Radio, wireless device charging, navigation, two more USB ports, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with LED speaker lights to bring your playlists to life. Additional safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Warning.
The top trim – the EX – has an available Technology Package with Adaptive Cruise Control, Cyclist Detection, LED headlights and foglights, and heated front seats.
What’s Under the Hood
The tech and safety features enhance the fuel-efficient engine. The Soul has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. It also comes standard with a Continuously Intelligent Variable Transmission and front-wheel drive. The Soul has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 28/33 MPG.
Cool Styling with Fun Features
The Soul stands apart from other subcompact SUVs. Buyers can choose from several fun colors like Inferno Red, Mars Orange, and Surf Blue. The Soul GT-Line comes with the most styling features including the 18-inch Sport Alloy Wheels, black SynTex and cloth upholstery with red stitching, glossy black accents, and the available Designer Package that pairs your favorite color with a Fusion Black Roof.
