New Kia Stinger shows competitiveness compared to – Porsche?
How fast is the 2018 Kia Stinger GT?
The 2018 Kia Stinger GT may not be the fastest car a buyer could choose, but it certainly has the proven chops to outperform some pretty big names sitting at the top of the performance car class. So – how fast is the 2018 Kia Stinger GT? Pretty fast. The all-new Kia fastback sport sedan comes with two engines, depending on which version is chosen. Both have the necessary performance to push the lightweight vehicle up to speed eagerly, thus delivering on all of the promises Kia has made about the new car since it debuted at the beginning of the year.
2018 Kia Stinger faster than Porsche Panamera
If someone were to walk up to you on the street and tell you that there is a Kia vehicle out there that is faster than a Porsche, you’d be right to be skeptical. We love our Kia vehicles and know everything about them and that kind of statement would give us pause. However, the twin-turbocharged, 3.3-liter, V-6 Lambda II engine makes 365 horsepower and gives the Stinger GT a zero-to-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds, a quicker result that what is can be observed with the Porsche Panamera. Not only can the new Stinger GT outpace this Porsche model, but it also has more available power than models from Audi, BMW, and Infiniti. Additionally, the 2018 Stinger GT can reach a top speed of nearly 167 miles per hour.
On the other hand, the entry-level or standard engine equipped with the 2018 Stinger offers some impressive performance numbers in its own right. The turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine can produce more than 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Kia testing has revealed that this setup offers a zero-to-60 mph time of under six seconds.
The 2018 Kia Stinger and Stinger GT should be arriving at the Spitzer Cleveland Kia showroom very soon. If you want to be the first one on your street to own one, you can start the pre-order process with one of our sale professionals today.
