Upper trims have the option of being outfitted with a 3.3-liter, V-6 engine mated to a newly available eight-speed automatic transmission. This will give owners as much as 290 horsepower to use. The V-6-powered Sorento will be able to tow up to 5,000 pounds when it is equipped with the available all-wheel-drive system.
Enhanced Safety Profile
Each of the new crossover SUVs above the entry-level EX will come with a complete suite of Kia’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. In addition to pre-existing safety solutions like forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring, the 2019 Kia Sorento adds Lane Keeping Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning to the mix. Future owners that have regular long drives will like the newly available Driver Attention Warning system that actually helps snap the driver back to reality if the system detects fatigue or inattentive driving behaviors.
