The 2022 Kia Stinger is a high-tech sedan built to impress. With a performance-tuned engine, a suite of high-tech infotainment features, and available all-wheel drive, there is a lot to like in this aerodynamic, daring sedan.

What’s Under the Hood

Kia Stinger performance features include a pair of innovative powertrains. The first is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers 300 horsepower. The second is a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 368 horsepower. Both engines come with an eight-speed automatic continuously variable transmission that delivers responsive shifting with or without the steering wheel paddle shifters.

With the V6 engine, the Kia Stinger performance parts work together to deliver a zero-to-60 speed of 4.7 seconds. The Stinger comes standard with rear-wheel drive to maximize its handling. When equipped with the four-cylinder, it achieves an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22/32 MPG. The V6 with all-wheel drive delivers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 17/24 MPG.

The Stinger comes in three trims: GT-Line, GT1, and GT2. The GT-Line comes with the standard four-cylinder, while the GT1 and GT2 have the boosted V6 engine. The top trims also come with Launch Control and Limited Slip Differential on the rear-wheel-drive powertrain. The GT1 and GT2 also come with High-Performance Dampers. The GT trims also come with performance based Brembo brakes that give the V6 plenty of stopping space.

Tech Feature Enhance Performance

Kia outfitted the 2022 models with driver-assistive features that enhance its performance capabilities. The GT-Line comes standard with Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go.

Drivers who choose the Kia Stinger GT2 get a Blind Spot Monitor, Parking Distance Warning, and Head-Up Display in addition to the other safety features that come standard on the Stinger GT-Line.

Drivers can access the safety features through the large 10.25-inch infotainment screen that comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a nine-speaker sound system. The GT2 adds a Harman Kardon Quantum Logic Premium Sound System to complement the beefy Twin-Turbo V-6 engine. For comfort, all trims come with heated leather seats, while the GT2 adds ventilation to the front seats and heat to the rear seats.
