Kia’s First Fully EV Crossover

Drivers looking for a sporty and attractive EV with an affordable sticker price should look no farther than the 2022 EV6. Kia outfits the EV6 with all the bells and whistles – in all trim levels and all three configurations. The team at Spitzer Kia Cleveland near Parma is excited to show you the latest technology and safety features from the innovative automaker.

High-Tech Standard Features

The Kia EV6 technology includes three powertrain configurations and interior features. The automaker offers the EV6 with two battery sizes: 58.0 kWh and 77.4 kWh. The smaller battery pack delivers an EPA-estimated 232 miles of range, while the larger has an EPA-estimated range of 310 miles.

The smaller battery pack has a single electric motor with 167 horsepower. Drivers who want more horsepower have the option of the larger battery pack paired with one or two motors. The rear-wheel-drive model delivers 225 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive model produces 320 horsepower. Drivers can use Level 2 and DC Fast Charging stations for charging on the road.

Kia includes several impressive standard tech features inside the EV6. The base EV Light trim with the small battery pack comes with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. Kia includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, five USB ports, wireless device charging, six speakers, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Drivers who upgrade to the EV6 Wind trim level get 14 speakers, Front Parking Sensors, a Hands-Free Power Liftgate, and V2L Charging Ports for charging larger electronics outside of the vehicle.

Kia offers the top GT-Line trim with the same base features as the Wind. The top trim has Power-Retractable Door Handles, a Head-Up Display, a Surround View Parking Camera System, Remote-Controlled Parking, and a Semi-Autonomous Highway Driving Assist Mode.

Loaded with Safety Features

Like the tech features, Kia also loads the EV6 with more driver-assistive features than many other automakers. The base EV6 has Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Parking Sensors, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection. Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Attention Alert, LED Headlights with Automatic High Beams, a Rearview Camera, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Because of the high-quality engineering and impressive standard safety features, the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety awarded the 2022 EV6 with a Superior safety rating on front crash avoidance and mitigation.
